Their family had to go through abusive arrests, killings, exiles and all kinds of physical and psychological abuses. In this letter they also wrote: ‘The bitter experience of repeated and frequent loss of family members, namely Ashraf, Sabah and Massoud Hussein Panahi,” and the physical and psychological injuries that Anwar Hossein Panahi had to undergo during his 7 years imprisonment are unforgettable for us.
Now we fear for Ramin, as he is at serious risk due to the severity of his injuries and history taught us that the torture carried out by the security agencies in Iran would be most likely of deadly consequence.’ Therefore, Ramin Hussein Panahi’s family calls on all international institutions, international organizations as well as reporters to do everything within their power to free Ramin and by doing so, save his life.
